QAZCONTENT participates in the BRICS WAVES Bazaar international forum in Mumbai
The BRICS WAVES Bazaar 2026 international forum, bringing together representatives of the film, television, and digital content industries, took place in Mumbai. Over 900 creative industry representatives from around the world participated in this large-scale event. Discussions covered the development of film and television, OTT platforms, animation and VFX, gaming, music, digital content, artificial intelligence, technology, and investment.
Kazakhstan was represented at the forum by QAZCONTENT JSC, representatives of the Khabar and Astana TV channels, as well as producers, directors, and media representatives. The Kazakh delegation consisted of 10 people. For the Kazakh side, the forum provided an opportunity to establish direct contacts with representatives of the Indian and international media markets and showcase the potential of domestic content.

For Qazcontent, the BRICS WAVES Bazaar became a platform for expanding international cooperation and promoting Kazakhstani content to new markets. During the forum, company representatives met with international media organizations, content producers, and creative industry representatives, exchanged experiences, and discussed the possibility of joint projects.
The event was organized by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. Initially planned for over 500 delegates, the forum ultimately brought together over 900 representatives of the creative industries. Participants included producers and directors, representatives of film studios and television channels, OTT platforms, investors, tech companies and startups, government agencies, film commissions, and other industry experts.

Over 275 business meetings were organized as part of the BRICS WAVES Bazaar. Producers met with investors, directors with producers, and content rights holders with distributors.
The Indian domestic market, with a population of approximately 1.5 billion, was of particular importance to forum participants. For Kazakhstani companies, the event provided an opportunity to explore the specifics of content production and distribution in the Indian market, as well as to present the potential of Kazakhstan’s creative industries and domestic media content to an international audience.

QAZCONTENT’s participation in the BRICS WAVES Bazaar marks another step in the development of Kazakhstan’s international media relations and collaboration with foreign partners, and has opened up additional opportunities for promoting domestic content in international markets.
