
Kanat Zhumabayevich Iskakov was born in 1982 in Shymkent.
He graduated from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Lomonosov Moscow State University.
He began his career in 2005 as a Leading Specialist at the State Fund for Youth Policy Development in Almaty.
Over the years, he worked in various government bodies, including the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Secretariat of the Secretary of State of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the Presidential Administration, and the Centre for Strategic Development and Analysis of the Presidential Administration.
From 2012 to 2021, he served as Head of a Sector within the Press Service of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2021 to 2023, he served as Chair of the Information Committee of the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since 2023, he has served as Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
